Last week the TC hosted a very successful Family Nutrition and Health Night. Families attended in abundance and participated in activities ranging from walking a balance beam on the yard to making yogurt, fruit, and granola parfaits in a classroom.
Through the activities families received important information about ways to maintain health by eating nutritious foods and being physically active. The night was finished off by sharing a healthy meal of vegetarian tamales, brown rice, black beans, and salad. During dinner, healthy recipe books were raffled off to the participating families.
