The new school year begins with an exciting story that exemplifies Mission Graduates desire to change with the needs of the students we serve.
This year will feature an even deeper alignment with day-time academics through a much modified homework period. Not only has homework time been moved to an earlier part of the afternoon to ensure that students are still sharp, but Mission Graduates coordinators will be working alongside Marshall Elementary teachers who have graciously agreed to stay extra time to serve the neediest students.
We anticipate that these changes will greatly improve student achievement and also serve as an encouraging example of an After School program that is fully integrated into and aligned with day-time curriculum at a public school.
