In partnership with Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA), Mission Graduates seeks to recruit five volunteers who are passionate about working with underrepresented college-bound students. In this collaborative effort, volunteers will receive training and will work with students and families to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The objective of the project is two-fold: 1) To raise awareness about financial aid opportunities and the importance of completing the FAFSA and 2) To support students and families in the Mission District with step-by-step guidance in completing the FAFSA.
Training and FAFSA Workshop Dates:
FAFSA Training: 1/11/11
FAFSA Workshops: 1/13/11, 1/19/11, 1/20/11, 2/5/11, 2/12/11
Time: The training and workshops will take place in the evening hours, exact start/end times TBD
Location: Workshops will take place at local high schools and at CBOs in the Mission District
