Juan Calderón was born in Morelia, the capital of the beautiful state of Michoacán, México. He migrated to the United States at an early age and now proudly calls California home. Throughout his journey, Juan has worked with nonprofit organizations. He has been deeply engaged in movements for labor rights, civil rights, comprehensive immigration reform, and other grassroots efforts aimed at building a better quality of life for all—echoing the Native American teaching: “For all our relations.”
A passionate student of History, Juan is especially drawn to the people and movements that have shaped transformative social change. He finds inspiration in art, music, and learning in all its forms.
Juan is committed to immigration reform and causes that empower community-based advocacy. His professional background includes roles as an administrative assistant, community organizer, and freelance translator. In his current role as Enrollment & Billing Coordinator at Mission Graduates, Juan provides vital administrative support to the operations team. He works directly with families, guiding them through enrollment and billing processes with clarity and care.
