Ivan Garcia is the Promise Scholars Manager. He is a  first-generation college student, who was blessed and fortunate to grow up in the Mission District. He was supported by a loving, hard-working single mother and a loving community. Ivan was selected as a recipient of the first cohort of Promise Scholars in 2012. He attended Maharishi University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Management in 2016. Ivan believes in helping students develop into the best version of themselves. As the Promise Scholar Manager, he provides students with holistic, social and academic support to prepare them to enter the workforce, and to put their best foot forward to serve as role models for their families and community.
