Dianna is a native of Southern California. She attended the University of California, Riverside where she received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and in Women’s Studies. While attending UC Riverside she worked on campus as an academic counselor, where she found her passion for helping students succeed.

After graduating she moved to San Francisco and attended San Francisco State and earned her Masters in Education with an emphasis in Social Justice and Equity. Through her years in San Francisco, she has worked for several organizations with the mission of supporting students academically, such as AVID, SF Promise, and Everyday Magic.

In 2014 Dianna joined Mission Graduates as an after school teacher at Marshall Elementary where she worked for two years before becoming the Beacon Director for Bryant Elementary and now our Senior Program Director.  Dianna oversees the alignment and professional development of our Extended Day Programs, Beacons, and staff ensuring we continue to provide the best program quality to our students and families. As a Certified CalSAC trainer, she provides continuous professional training opportunities for our staff in a variety of areas within youth development.
Even though she is not a San Francisco native, she loves working with the students and parents of the Mission. Mission Graduates, students and families, have become her family away from home.
