Rosy BaquedanoCollege Success Manager - College Connect

Rosy Baquedano, born and raised in San Francisco California is the daughter of Nicaraguan immigrants. Rosy attended San José State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Interaction. Rosy has over six years of experience working with Bay Area youth in the nonprofit sector. Her passion for youth development started in 2013 when she worked at Larkin Street Youth Services (LSYS) as an Academic Advisor. Working with at risk of being homeless youth gave her the vision to empower young people of color to move beyond homelessness, and have access to higher education.

Rosy first joined Mission Graduates in 2017 as a High School Coordinator at John O’Connell High School, she is now the College Success Manager at College Connect. As a first generation college student Rosy understands the great challenges that come with the pursuit of higher education. She is committed to empowering Latinx youth and disenfranchised communities through access to post- secondary education.
