Erich K. Wieland is a passionate educator who brings nearly 20 years of experience teaching and leading students of all ages through experiential learning practices. He started his career as a college instructor in Arizona, where he taught students ecology and natural history through outdoor explorations. He has also been a preschool teacher, rock climbing guide, after-school site coordinator, and much, much more. Whatever Erich does, he always strives to draw out people’s strengths in ways that build community and make education accessible to everyone.
He earned his double major in adventure education and environmental studies from Prescott College in 2004, believing that these two fields are integrated and provide greater learning opportunities outside of traditional school. He returned to school in 2010 to earn his MA in Education with an emphasis in experiential learning. Erich is a proud father of a 2-year old and loves to take his family on international trips.
