Hello and thank you all for welcoming me to the Mission Graduates family! My name is Ali and I have the role of Grant Writer, highlighting and supporting the wonderful work that Mission Graduates does on a daily basis. I’m originally from Chico, CA but have lived in San Francisco for nearly 10 years. I received my MPH in Public Health with an emphasis in health equity and social justice from SFSU and have worked as a Grant Writer for the SFUSD College and Career Readiness Department for the past three years. I am drawn to grant writing as a form of storytelling, and the MG community has stories to tell! I am a bit of a fish, so enjoy pretty much anything done in the water. I’ve swum competitively since I was 9 but I’m attempting to be a runner while patiently waiting for the reopening of SF pools.
