Abdi Hersi joined Mission Graduates in February 2022 as Director of Operations. In this role, Abdi oversees operations functions, such as billing, IT, data management, procurement, and purchasing.

As a Somali immigrant and a first-generation college student, Abdi attended Cairo University in Egypt and California State University, East Bay. Abdi has a dual Bachelor’s in Economics and International Studies.

Previously, Abdi worked in the affordable housing non-profit field where he held several operations roles. Most recently, he served as Sr. Operations Manager at Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC). Abdi is passionate about helping others and plans to dedicate his career to working in the non-profit sector.

Abdi is trilingual in Somali, Arabic, and English.
