Mi Pasaje

Mi Pasaje: Celebrating Educational Journeys

Mi Pasaje is Mission Graduates’ annual celebration honoring the achievements of our College Access and Success graduates—a powerful moment when “Sí Se Puede” (Yes We Can) transforms into “Sí Se Pudo” (Yes We Did).

About the Celebration

Mi Pasaje, meaning “My Journey” in Spanish, highlights the remarkable achievements of students who have overcome barriers to pursue higher education. Most of these inspiring young people come from low-income, immigrant, Latinx, and Black families and are often the first in their families to attend college.

Each year, this ceremony features:

  • Inspiring stories from graduating students
  • Perspectives from community leaders
  • Distinguished keynote speakers
  • A community celebration of achievement

Celebrating Student Achievement

Mi Pasaje provides a platform for students to share their journeys and the challenges they’ve overcome. Past ceremonies have featured keynote speakers such as José Cisneros, San Francisco’s elected Treasurer, and Tongo Eisen-Martin, former San Francisco Poet Laureate.

The event brings together students, families, educators, and community supporters to recognize the power of education and the dedication required to pursue higher education against significant odds.
