After almost 14 years in the Mission, Baobab Village continues to provide delicious Senegalese food in this San Francisco neighborhood. The Village, deemed such because of its two restaurants, Little Baobab and Bissap Baobab, not only provides delicious Senegalese food to its corner of the Mission but also offers a lively and fun night life scene, rich with AfroBeats and ginger-based drinks.
Both Baobab’s will participate in this year’s Food For Thought. Owners say that they participate, as they have for the past number of years, because they want more kids in the Mission to graduate and make a better community through their education.
When asked for a recommendation, the owner provided three: the Peanut Sauce dish, Mafe served over rice with Chicken or Tofu, and the fish coconut platter. My recommendation: bring two friends, or a healthy appetite, so you can try all three.
