Alvarado Elementary School
Our after-school program at Alvarado Elementary embraces the school’s vibrant Spanish Immersion curriculum and diverse community. We support many English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) students, offering targeted academic assistance in math and literacy.
Our program extends beyond academics through diverse activities like fashion design, filmmaking, and partnerships with SF Youth Theater. These experiences and summer field trips foster excitement for learning while supporting our students’ bilingual development.
We extend Alvarado’s bilingual mission by providing academic assistance and enrichment activities that reinforce Spanish language skills alongside English and encourage bilingual students.
From fashion design to filmmaking, our staff-led electives and community partnerships offer unique experiences that broaden horizons and nurture varied interests and talents.

The thing that’s unique about the program is all of the good teachers, nice activities, and awesome friends. One of my favorite things about Mission Graduates is getting to do great projects; we have tons of fun.
