The “You Are an Example to Me” awards honors individuals who set strong examples and contribute to the success of children and youth from the Mission District. We will be recognizing special youth, parents, business owners, and Mission Graduates community partners.

It has been another great semester of overnight and day trips with Outdoor Challenge.  Kara led 4 overnight trips with students from O’Connell and Mission high schools.  I led an additional 3 day trips and a backpacking trip with our Outdoor Youth Leaders. Read more »

Waking up at 5:00am was not fun, but then I realized that today was Halloween, and better yet, I was going on another backpacking trip. When I arrived at the Mission Graduates office, I realized I was the first one there and I helped Aaron with getting all the pre-trip supplies ready. He told me that I was going to be one of the leaders of the day, I was so excited. I was ready to have yet another trip to practice my ability to lead games and ensure safety within the group.
