Beyond the Bell (BTB) provides after-school academic support, college awareness, and enrichment opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment. BTB serves over 150 6-8th graders and their families at James Lick Middle School in Noe Valley.

BTB's five primary goals are:

• Increase participants' academic success and achievement
• Expand opportunities for students to participate in cultural/art enrichment activities
• Increase the quantity, quality and consistency of participant's "support network" to promote healthy development and academic success
• Promote and encourage health, fitness and nutrition
• Create and foster a "college-going" culture among our participants and their families
