Host a House Party: Mission Graduates has a growing base of supporters, and our hope is that our house parties can both cultivate current friends of MG and create new ones. A House Party is a great way to bring friends, family, and colleagues together to learn about Mission Graduates in a relaxed and social environment.

Become a Food for Thought Ambassador: This is an opportunity to represent Mission Graduates at on of our 20 participating Mission restaurants. In addition to bringing your friends, family, and networks to the restaurant, you will be responsible for connecting with restaurant management and staff, ensuring all patrons are aware of the Food For Thought event and Mission Graduates, and selling raffle tickets. Don’t worry – trainings will be provided as to how to best interact with diners and restaurant staff!

Become a Monthly Supporter: Would you like to help us reduce our fundraising costs, increase the lifetime value of your support, while making it as easy as possible for you to give on a regular basis? By signing up to be a recurring supporter, you ensure that our programs thrive and withstand the changes in the funding climates.

How To Make an Investment

Gifts by Check: Checks should be made payable to Mission Graduates and mailed to the following address:
3040 16th Street
San Francisco, CA 94103

Gifts by Credit Card: The relative ease of making a credit card gift has made this a popular method of giving. Donors may use the secure online giving link by clicking here.

Donors may also send credit card information (name as it appears on the card, credit card number, date of expiration, gift amount) to the Mission Graduates address. MasterCard, VISA, and American Express cards are accepted.

Donors may also call the Development Office at (415) 864-5205, and give their credit card information over the phone.

Online Gifts: Donations can be made easily through our website by clicking here.

Legacy and Security Gifts: (stocks, bonds, mutual funds) Also known as “Planned” or “Deferred Gifts,” these provide lifetime income to the donor or another beneficiary, upon whose death Mission Graduates can use the gift principal. Life income gift donors receive donor and class credit for the IRS remainder value of the gift at the time it is made. For more information on life income gifts or on outright gifts of securities contact the Mission Graduates Development Office (415) 864-5205.

Corporate Matching Gifts: Gifts from corporations with matching gift programs are a vital addition to annual support. Mission Graduates cultivates strategic partnerships with corporations that share our belief that every child can and deserves to have access to a college education. These partnerships enable us to multiply our resources and the impact of our work. An employee, retired employee, spouse, or partner generates these gifts. Usually the donor must obtain a matching gift form from the company’s personnel or employee benefits office and forward it to Mission Graduates along with the gift. We credit matching gifts to the donor and acknowledge them as directed by the donor.

When appropriate, urge each prospect to investigate their employer’s matching-gift policies and to follow through early in the fiscal year.

Gifts In Kind: Gifts-in-kind are non-monetary items of tangible personal property such as art, computer software, laptops, lightly used furniture, books, classroom curriculum, equipment, automobiles, inventory, and other personal assets or materials that represent value to the Mission Graduates. We welcome many gifts-in-kind and are most grateful when donors think of us with this form of philanthropy. Please follow this link to our agency Master Wish List to see how you can support our programs by making an in-kind gift.
